Brief Summary

The Altered States Database (ASDB) is an open-science project managed by the scientific collaboration CIRCE that aims to facilitate access for researcher and laypersons to scientific data on various pharmacological and non-pharmacological induction methods for altered states of consciousness (ASCs).

This database only contains psychometric data published in peer-reviewed (quality controlled) scientific publications and is updated annually following a systematic literature review according to the PRISMA 2020 Statement Guidelines.

Our mission is to support rigorous research on human consciousness. As interest in psychedelics in therapy grows, we enhance data comparability by offering comparison data and optimizing study designs with suitable questionnaire tools.
