A paired cosmic VR encounter where two guests become constellations and co-create a shared galaxy through slow movement.
ℹ️Experience Information
About the experience
Star-Stuff by John Desnoyers-Stewart turns hands and bodies into constellations. Two participants alter the stars’ orbits together, creating a collaborative sculpture and a non-verbal experience of interconnection.
🌀 Context Engineering Tips:
- Space for Wonder: Find a comfortable position where you can move your hands and body freely. The experience responds to your movements, so allow yourself space to explore and interact naturally with the cosmic environment around you.
- Embrace Connection: If experiencing with another person, approach with openness and curiosity about how your energies will interact. Notice how your movements affect the shared space and allow a non-verbal dialogue to emerge through the stars.
- Meditative Presence: Before entering, take a few moments to center yourself through deep breathing or brief meditation. This experience invites contemplation of your place in the cosmos - arriving with a calm, receptive mindset enhances the journey.
- Slow Movement: Rather than rapid gestures, try moving slowly and deliberately. Watch how the stars respond to your body and hands. The gravitational effects unfold most beautifully when you move with intention and awareness.
- Cosmic Perspective: Reflect on Carl Sagan's words: "We are all made of star-stuff." Let this experience remind you of your fundamental connection to the universe and to others. You are not separate from the cosmos - you are an integral part of it.
- Hand Constellation Play: Experiment with different hand positions and gestures. Your hands become constellations - explore how they look from different angles, how they interact with your partner's constellations, and what shapes emerge.
- Integration Reflection: After the experience, take time to sit with the feelings and insights that arose. Consider journaling about moments of connection, beauty, or wonder you encountered in the cosmic space. What did this experience reveal about interconnection?

Setup & access requirements
- Use the existing download button or Google Drive APK link above for installation.
- This is a multiplayer experience requiring two headsets connected to Wi-Fi on different Meta accounts; the same Wi-Fi build cannot run twice on one account.
- Both the VR and mixed-reality (MR) versions are available.
- Ensure both headsets are online → Library → Unknown Sources → Star-Stuff Cyberdelic Nexus.
- If co-location fails, try the Library build that skips calibration.
How to facilitate
- Explain that Star-Stuff is multiplayer and confirm both guests’ headsets are connected to Wi-Fi using different Meta accounts.
- Invite the guests to meet in space and move slowly; let non-verbal connection emerge.
- Fit both headsets, enable hand tracking, confirm enough room light, and calibrate the virtual bodies if alignment seems off.
- Monitor both boundaries and keep guests from colliding.
- Offboard both gently and ask: “When did you feel most connected to the other constellation?”
Troubleshooting
- Bodies misaligned → Use the left controller and press the Menu button. Look down and identify two reference points, placing tape on the floor if helpful. Stand at the first point and press the trigger, then walk to the second point and press the trigger again. Repeat on the other headset using the same points in the same order. Confirm the floor level is calibrated correctly on both headsets if alignment still seems off.
- Hands missing → improve light, enable hand tracking, clean cameras, reposition hands.
- Cannot co-locate → confirm separate accounts/Wi-Fi, relaunch both, or use no-calibration build.
- Unresolved → restart both headsets and escalate to Jose or Tirso.
