A facilitated haptic-bed journey by Paula Ducatenzeiler, offered either as a standalone vibroacoustic experience or combined with VR. Paula leads the session; showcase support should manage bookings, guest flow, and a clear installation area.
ℹ️Experience Information
About the experience
Bodjing is a body-based sensory experience facilitated by Paula Ducatenzeiler. The guest lies on a haptic bed and experiences sound as physical vibration through the body.
Depending on the session configuration, the haptic journey may run on its own or be paired with VR. Confirm the active format, runtime, audio path, and approved intensity range with Paula before opening bookings.

🌀 Context Engineering Tips:
- Set & Setting:Keep the bed area calm, private, and physically clear. Avoid queues or observers gathering close to the guest.
- Arrival & Orientation:Explain that sound will be felt as vibration through the body and clarify whether the session includes VR.
- Consent & Stop Signal:Agree on a clear stop signal before the guest lies down or puts on a headset.
- Progressive Intensity:Begin at the lowest approved level and let Paula guide any increase.
- Booking Rhythm:Protect transition time between guests for cleaning, reset, grounding, and any VR changeover.
- Integration:Allow the guest to rest briefly before sitting or standing, especially after a strong haptic or VR session.

Setup & installation requirements
- Area: keep a clear perimeter around the bed, controls, power, and guest access route.
- Privacy: position the queue and waiting area away from the active guest.
- Booking support: assign one person to manage reservations, arrivals, late guests, and no-shows so Paula can focus on facilitation.
- Turnaround: leave a buffer for cleaning, bedding reset, technical checks, and guest grounding.
- Haptic system: inspect the bed, power, cables, control device, audio source, hygiene layer, and approved weight/position guidance.
- VR configuration: when used, confirm headset power, tracking, content launch path, audio routing, and cleaning supplies.
How to facilitate
- The support facilitator checks the booking, prepares the next guest, and keeps the area clear while Paula completes the current session.
- Paula explains the format, expected vibration, optional VR phase, physical positioning, and stop signal.
- Help the guest lie down only with permission, taking care around cables and controls.
- Start at the lowest approved haptic intensity. Paula monitors comfort and guides any progression.
- If VR is included, fit and calibrate the headset only after the guest is settled; confirm visuals and audio before continuing.
- Stop immediately if the guest withdraws consent or reports pain, panic, dizziness, nausea, numbness, or overheating.
- End the experience before helping the guest sit up slowly. Offer a quiet moment to reorient.
- Ask: “Where did you feel the sound most clearly in your body?”
Troubleshooting
- No vibration → check power, audio source, cable, amplifier/output, selected program, and approved level.
- Uneven or uncomfortable output → stop immediately; inspect the connection and return to the lowest approved setting.
- VR image/audio missing → check headset power, tracking, content launch, headphones, and audio routing.
- Booking congestion → pause walk-ins, move waiting guests away from the bed, and restore the protected turnaround buffer.
- Area not clear → do not begin until bags, observers, drinks, and trip hazards have been removed.
- Unknown operation → do not improvise; pause bookings and escalate to Paula or the technical lead.
